When I’m left in my thoughts, my mind goes to wander. Wandering into the deep forests that have never been explored. Upon these new frontiers there are challenges to make sure you’re going in the right direction. Left, right, forward, back, each way seeming the right path at certain times. But I always remain looking ahead, as I want to make it to the other side.

We all have our problems, some of us more than others. Problems come and they go. Seeing someone in so much pain from their problems is truly heart breaking, especially when that pain is coming from someone you love so much. I see this pain on a daily basis. Day in and day out, you are running, but only in circles. Round and round you go, seeking a destination, but ending up right back where you started. During each sip or every puff, all I see is pain. Your pain is not being dealt with. You have so much pain, yet it is only being masked by “a few of your favorite things.” I wish you didn’t have to run. I love you too much.

Every time you fall asleep I get a little scared. Scared, not of the thought of losing you, but the thought of you getting lost. Lost in your own mind, a mind that is out of your control. Being there for you is all I can do, loving you, holding you. Love is a weird thing. When you love someone, everything changes. Everything did change when I met you. I love you. Love is always enough to get you through.

So last Friday, I found myself traveling to South Jersey to find, of all things, the new iPhone 6. When I’m in an area other than home, I always open up Foursquare or Yelp to find places to eat in the area. I wanted something different. My cravings were channeling something savory. I went crazy and I found a way to get to Cuba. Well…not really. I took a trip to a cuban themed restaurant. Close enough right?

My friend and I took a trip up to New Hope, PA, a short drive from my town which is around 10 miles south. New Hope is a fantastic small town full of character. There is no shortage of restaurants, mom and pop boutiques, and quirky charms that are uniquely “New Hope.”
